As Mother’s Day approaches, we are called not only to celebrate the women who have nurtured us but also to honour the deeper current of Divine Feminine energy that flows through all of life.
This sacred energy is not limited to biology or gender—it is the force of creation, intuition, tenderness, and fierce protection. She is Gaia, Shekhinah, Sophia, Quan Yin. She is the Great Mother in all her forms—and she dwells within you.
At Pure Lotus Wellness Retreat, we believe in the importance of returning to this source. The Divine Feminine invites us to soften, to listen, to receive, and to bloom. Whether you are a mother, a daughter, a healer, a seeker—or somewhere in between—this sacred time is an opportunity to realign with her presence.
Rituals to Awaken the Divine Feminine
1. Rose & Moon Bath Ceremony: Draw a warm bath and add rose petals, epsom salts, and a few drops of geranium or jasmine essential oil. Light candles around the tub, and if possible, bathe during the waxing or full moon. As you soak, reflect on where you are being called to receive more love and softness in your life.
Mantra to whisper or think: “I return to myself. I open to receive. I am held by the Great Mother.”
2. Sacred Altar for the Feminine: Create a small altar space with symbols of the Divine Feminine: a shell, a rose quartz crystal, a chalice or bowl of water, an image of a goddess or maternal figure that resonates with you. Light a candle and sit in meditation for a few minutes daily, offering gratitude for the feminine presence in your life.
3. Womb Healing Meditation (Regardless of Gender): Place your hands over your womb space (the sacral chakra). Visualize a soft golden-pink light glowing there. Breathe into that space for 7 minutes, allowing stored emotions, creativity, and intuition to rise gently. This area is not just physical—it is energetic, a sacred vessel of power and presence.
Affirmations to Call In the Divine Feminine
Speak these aloud or write them in your journal each day leading up to Mother's Day:
I honour the sacred rhythms of my body and soul.
I embody love, wisdom, and creative power.
The Divine Mother walks with me, within me, and around me.
I am safe to soften. I am strong in my softness.
I trust the wisdom of my inner knowing.

Ways to Celebrate the Feminine Within & Around You
Give gratitude to the women who shaped you — reach out, write letters, or create a small offering in their honour.
Spend time in nature — walk barefoot, tend to a garden, or simply sit beneath a tree. The Earth is the original expression of the Divine Feminine.
Practice receiving — allow yourself to rest, to say no, to be supported, and to feel without rushing to fix or understand.
Gather in circle — whether virtually or in person, spend time with women or feminine-aligned spaces where vulnerability and sacred conversation are welcome.
This Mother’s Day, let us go deeper than tradition. Let us remember that the Divine
Feminine is not a role we play, but a truth we embody. She is always present, waiting for us to return, breathe, and open.
Blessings,
Carrie-Leigh Stockwell
